Owner description: Takhini Hot Springs offers a range of recreational activities in every season of the year. You can soak, swim, and relax in the natural mineral waters of two connected hot pools. The water comes into the pool at 46 degrees Celsius and cools down to 42 degrees Celsius. The cooler side is a comfortable 37 degrees Celsius. We also host the Hair Freezing Contest annually. If you want to stay for the night, there is a wilderness style campground and hostel (yukoncampground, com). Tenting sites, RV sites, and 20 hostel beds. They also have 2 escape rooms (yukonescapegames, com). These are separate businesses from Takhini Hot Springs. Takhini Hot Springs is just 28 kilometers north of Whitehorse, about a 25-minute drive from downtown Whitehorse. Please bring your indoor footwear such as flip flops or crocs to wear in the change rooms. Please be advised that there are no kids after dark allowed in the pool! Please visit our website for all the information regarding hours, rates, and policies.

Disclaimer - we compare all Hotsprings experiences to the Liard Hotsprings in Noethern BC, as we prefer little to no development.

Friendly staff, nice warm water, the facilities are aging, but are functional. I think this would be more rewarding in the winter!

Note - they advertise a 20% discount for campsite/hostel residents BUT when we went to buy a family pass for our family of four, we were told that the discount did not apply to the family rate... a bit disappointing - and pricey.

Not sure I would return to the springs in the summer, but the campground was lovely.

It's an old, run-down yellow pool with hot mineral water. Nothing special. I hit my limit at about 20 minutes. The winter-time freezing hair thing might make it a little more interesting.

They are currently building a new pool, hopefully it will take advantage of the stunning views.

-50 degrees below is some kind of experience, but the hot spa and pool were absolutely delightful in the endless daylight hours of summer.

The pool facility is average in comparison to others I have been to in North America but that is not a bad thing just that nothing really made me go WOW...but its just hot water in a pool so really its what it is: a place close to town to soak tired bones.

Staff was friendly, change rooms clean, parking very ample, hours are good, minor cost and two pools giving different temps.

Great staff and facilities. You can stay on premises on the campgrounds too, or it's a quick 20 min drive from Whitehorse. Plus, the restaurant next door is delicious (though, we overheard that they may be closing come end of 2018). Saw a fox on our drive out!
