We have been yearly 2 weeks campers for over 10 years at Banbury Green. As " a regular" visitor you are made to feel like family by the staff. They are more then willing to assist you when help is needed. The campground itself is very neat, clean and tidy and all facilities such as washrooms are cleaned everyday. As with any facility used by multiple types of people ( just ask any gas station owner) with their own definition of clean, it is hard to please everyone all of the time. The Banbury Green policy is ... if you make a mess, clean it up and if you see a mess report it to the staff....
Unfortunately many facility users take on the attitude that it doesn't matter if they make a mess or break something,...someone else will take care of it.. They often do not exhibit any common sense or respect for their fellow campers.
On very few occasions over the years there have been "some rowdies" that insist on keeping everyone close to them part of the party atmosphere weather they like it or not. This is often very difficult for staff to deal with because they cannot exactly kick them of the grounds at midnight in their inebriated state to find accommodations else where. Chances are they would drive off the road leading from the campground to the highway and we would all be up making sure that the occupants haven't killed themselves.
Overall Banbury Green is our "little slice of heaven" and it is what keeps us going each year waiting for our 2 weeks of relaxation and revisiting friends. We would be here all summer if there was space but each year all the "regulars" come back to their spots so space is a premium. Your visit, as with life is what you make it of... so any " bad time or bad experience" is more then likely a result of your own making.
Keep doing what you are doing Banbury Green because based on the returning campers each year ,you are doing something right
Very satisfied yearly camper
