Reviewed April 26, 2017

The apartment was adequate, but what we found overwhelming was the smell of sewer that crept in most nights. In Taghazout, it seems to be normal to send waste water out to the sea, which does not make it very clean to swim. With the increase of tourism, the sewerage system needs to be sorted in the town otherwise people are not going to want to come

Room Tip: We had the lowest room. Perhaps upstairs maybe better. We had 65 stairs to get up to the street so it was a bit of a pain

Chris is a very kind host and his flats offer good value in the Taghazout town.

But be WARNED .... we woke the first morning to an broken effluent pipe below the balcony pouring out onto the beach filling our room and the building with an unbearable smell.

We got a refund and left immediately.

We stayed at one of Chris' apartment for a week and it is a great place by the water. Great waking up to the sound of the waves. The apartment is big w dining space, lounge, large bedroom and kitchen and bathroom. Has large sliding windows in the lounge that fully open up and we sit here everyday watching people swim, surf - great location close to all the cafes but tucked away from the main street. The price is well worth it for an apartment this size and a really friendly and hospitable owner - Chris who leaves fresh bread by your door every morning without fail. Thank you also to Rashid who works at reception - so warm and friendly.
Highly recommended!

We didn't actually stay here but happened to stumble across this place while looking for a trip out to the paradise valley. Christophe was so helpful and gave us a lift down to the banana village and set us off on a mountain taxi, even got is the ingredients for his mate up the mountain to make us a tagine!!! Such a nice man!!! Thanks Christophe I really hope we meet again. God bless!!

ABSOLUTELY STAY with Chris at his 'Surfnstay' apartments right on the beach at Taghazout, Morocco!!!! He is such a genial and knowledgable host that makes the stay much much more than merely a place to lay your head down. The village is a wonderfully typical place that throws you right into Moroccan culture, the surfing is brilliant, and the trip to PARADISE VALLEY is an absolute MUST SEE!!! Chris, and 'Surfnstay' Taghazout has made for a truly memorable vacation.
