We made this booking through booking.com.
Trying to contact the owner by phone on the morning of our arrival,we could not get an answer,until we arrived in the town just after lunch.We were told to carry all our luggage down 4 flights of stone steps towards the beach,and meet outside a cafe.
The apartment was a few houses away,and we were shown a ground floor,dark and dingy room containing 3 beds,dining table/chairs,kitchen,and toilet and shower easily visible from the room.
We had booked the roof apartment,with sea view balcony,and good photos on booking.com.The concierge told us there was a water problem,the owner arrived stating he had overbooked and would cancel our payment,to provide a refund.
The payment had already been made.
We were annoyed,tired,and wasting our time,but he offered a room in his nephews hostel,next door,charging 450dirham instead of 600dirham without breakfast.
We had been travelling staying at 4star hotels/apartments with breakfast for 300dirham average.We agreed,expecting a refund,which has not arrived despite complaints to the owner,and booking.comMore
