We ended up here due to our regular accommodation been full and I'm beyond happy. Esther was so helpful and pleasant on the phone and managed to move a few things around to accommodate us. On arriving we were given milk, wi-fi details and a small bottle of wine (beer was an option as well) with a small chocolate bar and chippies. Esther then walked us to our room and explained how everything worked. The room was so clean it was amazing. Add to this the most comfortable of beds and pillows - beautiful fluffy towels - makeup clothes and disposable wipes - plenty of toiletries - well stocked coffees and teas - comfortable chairs and excellent TV/Sky. I was working from my room as my husband was out doing his calls and had the car - the housekeeping staff were very friendly and asked what suited me re servicing the room. They were also clearly visible as staff which is nice to know when you are a guest. Plenty of good parking also and our room had an outdoor table and chairs so I got to enjoy some sun!! There's also a breakfast option which we didn't take up but I did see this been delivered to a number of rooms and it looked great. Given we went here by default we were beyond surprised and extremely happy - we have a new regular for sure and we will be back! Thanks to the entire team at Te Mata Lodge our stay was fantastic!!

No down side to this motel. Our first stay but our new favourite in Havelock. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and with good king bed. Had two comfortable arm chairs which was great as we had family visit. Bathroom is clean and bright with good mirror and lighting to do your make up. Great water pressure in the shower and make up face clothes. We ordered breakfast which was reasonable price and well cooked and presented. Bonus was ,it was served on hot plates so wasn't cold when we got it. Service was friendly and helpful from both management and cleaning staff. I never rate as five but couldn't fault this one. We will definitely be back.

WOW!! A fantastic review from an appreciative guest
That would be worth one complimentary breakfast (on a hot plate) on your next visit.
Thank you

Quiet, close to city centre, and welcoming, this motel really measures up. The rooms are very large, the spa is a welcome addition, clean, tidy, air con, parking at the door of downstairs units, modern furnishings - I can't think of any adverse comment. A true up market Motel in a prime location.

We stayed in an upstairs studio for 5 nights and highly recommend this motel. It was our second visit and we wouldn't hesitate to return. It is spotlessly clean with everything needed for a self- contained stay, including bath robes. We love being a few minutes walk from several very good restaurant, as well as a supermarket if you want to eat in. There is aircon which I would use in preference to leaving windows open unless you want an early start when the local gym cranks up the sound system for outside weight training (this may just be a Saturday thing!) We made use of the in room spa though there is also a good shower in the separate bathroom. Glen's team work hard to keep guests happy.

I assume this review is from the Planks and have purposely waited for a couple of weekends to see whether anyone else has been awoken by the musical gymnasts.
Such has not been the case, as they say once in a blue moon.
Once again thank you and hope to see you again next year.
