My wife and I are so glad to discover this unpretentious and friendly place at the tail end of our month long European tour. Before Dobrovo, we dined at several fancier (and excellent) restaurants such as Steirereck in Vienna and Mille Sens in Bern, but this little restaurant and "neighbourhood" bar got us to really relax and enjoy the evening. We were impressed (and a little surprised) by the freshness of the seafood and later found out that the chef, Janez, sourced his seafood directly from the Adriatic Sea. It then dawned on us that Dobrovo is a lot closer to the sea than many major European cities where you find plenty of well-known restaurants serving seafood. If you go, be sure to try a pint of "Human Fish" from the tap. It is delicious and pairs with seafood as well as the local white wine. I seldom contribute to review websites, but I feel this little hidden gem is well worth sharing.
