“A Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed January 6, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Beach cottage was a beautiful place to start 2016. The cottage had everything we needed, was warm, comfortable and well placed for all our needs. The views from the cottage windows are fabulous and even though the weather was not what we would have liked we could get around to see lots of other places. The village has a lovely tea room, hotel/restaurant and shop plus good walks along the beach.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed October 31, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My husband, dog Yickle and myself stayed at the Beach Cottage for a week in September, and we only wish that we had booked for longer. The cottage itself is fabulous, very comfy, warm (very important in Scotland!!) and extremely well equipped. The view from the lounge is lovely and it is centrally placed to visit lots of place, Mull of Gallway, Portpatrick, and Port Logan just to name a few. Our dog adored his walks on the beach at Sandhead, also the ice cream from the cafe!!, and we were very lucky to have fabulous weather. Elsbeth was very helpful and friendly, and I am certain that we will be coming back again.

“2nd stay !”
Reviewed October 20, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Yes we had 5 days at Beach cottage in April and came back for the school October week to let Glen (our "borrowmydoggie.com" Jack Russell which let his owners go to a holiday in the sun.
The cottage is extremely well presented an Sandhead a wonderful place for the dog.
Right on the road with a very large grassy area in front and the beach immediately beyond. Part of Luce Bay which has miles of sand.
We are going back for another week next Easter !!

Wanted a dog friendly cottage for a short break and stumbled upon Beach Cottage. What a find. Stunning views from bay window and situated between a great pub/restaurant and a friendly cafe with the beach just across the road made this the perfect spot. The village also has a really well stocked shop which was open every day. As a bonus the sun shone nearly every day! Fabulous holiday.
