The village inn (kro) has kept its character, with several small dining rooms leading on from each other, plus a large one for parties. There is an extensive collection of old advertising enamelled placards etc, adding a nostalgic note. A two-storey wing of bedrooms with en-suite facilities has been added, providing clean, comfortable, well-furnished rooms. The menu offered a good range of choices: one of us had en dansk bøf and the other pork tenderloin - both dishes were freshly prepared, cooked to perfection and served in ample helpings with an interesting selection of vegetables in new-Nordic style. Breakfast offered a wide selection of cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, jams, with tea and coffee ad lib. A business conference was stoking up before starting work but there was still plenty of room for other guests.
The location between Aarhus and Silkeborg is convenient for either town and not far from the north/south E45 motorway, but in a quiet village with ample free parking. It was a short drive to Billund airport from the Kro.More
