I spent a very relaxing night at the Lake Isle. Room was lovely and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. In all a very good place to stay. I would recommend the Lake Isle to anyone who is looking for a restaurant with rooms

Had lunch here using their special January offer, 3 courses for £17.50. Choice is limited but our main course, curried halloumi cheese with dall, Bajias and lots of other interesting bits and pieces was superb.

Starter and sweet coarse also good. Recommend you try especially if offer in place.

We'll definitely be back

Visited as a party of four for a post Christmas budget three course dinner at £17.50 per head.
A warm welcome at this small restaurant, a roaring fire in a cosy bar and comfortable seating. Drinks were carried to the table and food arrived promptly. Three of us opted for the Brie samosa starter which was tasty and excellent. Three of us again opted for the Indian themed vegetarian main, halloumi with a very tasty coconut and lime dahl, and a wonderfully fresh, piquant Indian salad.
Sadly, the desserts were less interesting. The egg custard was bland and the accompanying sorbet tasteless, though the cheesecake and the chocolate and pear options were better.
Overall the special offer was good value, the ambiance excellent and the service good. Starters and mains were excellent, different and very tasty.

Superb hotel and restaurant. We went for a one night break to sample the food and drink. All first class. Warm welcome on arrival. Very comfortable room. Home made biscuits were a really nice touch.Evening meal was a brilliant experience. Imaginative dishes and an excellent choice of wine all well priced, Breakfast was great with a very wide choice. Staff were excellent at all times. Faultless. We will certainly aim to go back and would recommend without hesitation.
