The airport transfer arranged was timely and met us at the airport. The car was clean and capable and the driver was very responsible on the road. The service was a bit pricey compared to market rates, more so considering the driver hardly spoke 3-words of English. It would have been nice if the driver could answer a few questions based on landmarks we passed on the way to the hotel. He did understand “Coffee” and “shop” it seems, as he pulled over at a market where we were able to buy some refreshments. Mostly “glintwine”.

The hotel is really good with all the amenities associated with it to make it a great location. They have the spa, with sauna, pool and jacuzzi. There’s a bowling alley, pool and snooker tables and a kids club which we didn’t make use of. (No kids). The ski-equipment rental is part of the hotel and hardly 100m away from the ski lift.

The staff in general were friendly, however friendly and efficient are two different things. Perhaps the end of the ski season resulted in lower levels of enthusiasm being much more visible.

We received a warm greeting on our first day and checked into a room we didn’t book. That was however quickly sorted out, and we were escorted to the Junior Suite which we booked.

The room was clean and was a decent size. It was furnished well and we had complimentary water provided most days. There’s a coffee / tea station, however no creamer or spoons are provided. Upon enquiry, it was confirmed it’s not provided?
For two people, the amount of shampoo and amenities provided was also not enough. (We asked for more)

The roof window takes some getting used to. It’s nice in the early morning, however at full moon it’s really different and gets bright in the room.

The duvet provided felt like overkill in terms of warmth as the room was far from cold. The duvet was somewhat small and I personally prefer something over me and sharing the duvet was the largest challenge of the stay.
The walls are fairly thin and provided you have responsible / considerate neighbors, all is well.

The lady at the spa was by far the most enthusiastic and explained everything very well. Info on where to get the ski passes, where to go, whether they served buffet dinner, etc. were not available in the welcome booklet, shared by reception staff, ski rental place or restaurant staff. These things we had to physically extract from staff and non-staff using near interrogation techniques.
The ski rental is a bit more expensive than other places, however the equipment is so much better and in great condition.

I’m sure if the team can be a bit more proactive by either suggesting this info or simply having an info sheet, it can make matters simpler for them and travelers alike.

All and all it was a positive experience and I will be back. I just think that the hotel and service can be great with very little changes and a bit more enthusiasm and energy.

PS. If you’re after ski lessons, use a company or enquire about recommendations from the ski rental place. There are vultures preying on the unsuspecting at the bottom of there ski lift. Enough said.

Excellent place to stay , Hotel is quite and comfortable, Stay in the Hotel with friends ( four family) . Rooms are of average size and clean.
Restaurant is there for the breakfast , Lunch and Dinner.
Breakfast is having verity , but for vegetarians there is no option available, Hotel should add some variety for Vegetarians also .
Overall experience is excellent, Hotel staffs are very cooperative........ but take care for the vegetarian food as I have seen so many persons asking for it ....

The hotel rooms are very nice and clean. We ate at the hotel restaurant nearly every evening, as it was very delightful. They have bowling, pool, and a spa which we frequently used the evenings after a whole day in the slopes. I could highly recommend Marco Polo visiting Gudauri.

Very nice hotel room for a family, we could easily be 2 adults & 2 kids (5 & 7)in a room.
Good breakfast buffet, dinner is a chance to try some local food.
Renting of ski on the hotel is a disaster, it took about one hour.
When the ski is solved it’s perfect as you put them on just outside the hotel and when finished you ski right to the door.

The hotel was not as expected at all, it has completely different views from the Wepsit and reality, as well as overpriced compared to many over good hotels around like new Gudauri, however if your visit during this season that will be understood.
The room was clean but with incomplete setup,the carpet was wet and the safe was closed,no toothbrush where I have to request for, moreover the gym is too small for 5 star hotel only 3 equipment and it’s very small, the location is beautiful and the view is great.
So the experience was not expected at all.
The Resturant is great and the food is supper, as well as the breakfast has lots of great variety.
You can start your snow activity from the 1st floor directly so it’s an advantage.
