On our way back to Signaghi we visited Bodbe Monastery. I fell in love with the church and all the paintings, but the most amazing part of this visit was when we went down the stairs. There are some stairs going down in the middle of the jungle. Its about 1,5 km long. Down there is a fountain and a little pool were you can deep ur self into the holy water. It was hard to go in since it was a cool day but it felt amazing. U can buy a small towel and a robe which costs around 15 lari pp.

Bodbe Convent is a Peaceful place, almost 2 hours drive from Tbilisi, where you can also enjoy nice landscape view of countryside.

There is a church and nunnery here. St. Nino is buried here. The working convent overlooks the picturesque Alazani valley, and it was used a coronation venue by the kings of Kakheti. Its main basilica features some fine frescoes, and its surrounding gardens are beautiful and relaxing.
