We had a delightful time at Lipsos. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. We could relax on the beach or the terrace - a really good environment to decompress. We came to Lipsos after having spent several days at an all-inclusive tourist hotel, and found this to be much more of an escape.

Our big worry was whether there would be enough to do with our four year old, without the water slides and pools that you find at the big hotels. Sure, there was plenty! We could play all sorts of games in the water, or with the rocks on the well-kept beach (no sand, so no sand castles). I regret that we didn't ask the hotel for a garbage bag and go clean the trash from the local section of the beach between Lipsos and the village - it would have been a rewarding family activity.

The fishing village has a couple of restaurants and cafes (nothing gourmet), but don't expect to get very far with your English. The breakfast at Lipsos is really nice. For dinner, Lipsos quality is quite good, but the prices make you blink. There are several good restaurants on the shore in the main town, about 15 minutes drive, and also a nice playground.

Our room was a bit too small and stuffy. We figured out how to make it comfortable by Googling up the instruction manual for the air conditioner remote control. After that, we slept well.

A new highway is being built toward the area, which means it will soon be much easier to get to, and consequently will probably become much more touristed. So, if you are looking for a place that's off the beaten path, go now!

locals (like me) seem to know this place very well, since booking in high season is a challange.

and owners seem to take advantage of this, as their latest private hut extensions are pricier then ever...

as turkey destroys each and every coastline one by one, this one is a real and rare hideout. they have a small and serene beach, beautiful sea, nice food (was better before), cute rooms, 2 cool caravans to stay and a very welcoming staff.

laid back and simplistic approach of the aegean culture can be felt deeply in this small hotel, from the food to decorations and to the rooms. white walls, cute little ornaments, nice towels and fine smelling natural soaps will accompany your stay.

this is a very well balanced luxury, without much colleteral on nature.

food used to be much better. although the same person - owner of the place - cooks tricky dishes, i felt a noticable change in taste... or maybe it was just an unlucky evening...

if you go there, grab your shoes half an hour before the sunset, follow the coast to with sea on your right, climb up towards the cliff and follow the narrow (almost invisible) path to the other side of it. you'll reach a true hideout with a jawdropping view - see my photo.

It is the 2nd that I stayed here and I loved every minute of it.
Little list of my most favorite things from this hotel:
- outstanding cooking! I ate so healthy and it was so very delicious
- warm welcome, great hospitality from Ata and Evren
- superclose to the beach, where you find peace, sounds of the waves and enough sunbeds
- very romantic new chalets with seasight! Very lovely!

I Will be returning soon,
Kim

It might be a bit tricky to find the location however this family run small guest house is a great place to spend several peaceful nights in a small old Turkish house at the beach front after Yeniliman _ Karaburun.

Food, both the dinner and breakfast was great. Ata runs the place with his wife and with the help of Mustafa. As the family resides there too you'll meet the kids, and pets.

You may also go to Ata's Place just for a lunch, or a perfect dinner with the best mezzes that I'd had lately.

İt is a wonderful and peaceful place and has delicious foods. It's for whom to like silence and blue, actually silence in blue... decoration is also very exciting... if you will go Izmir, you should see mordagan road, karaburum and ata'nın yeri...
