stayed here as a package deal including 3 course meal bottle of wine, overnight stay, breakfast. Included use of gym and pool, sauna and steam room.
The pool was a lot smaller than expected and when we went at 4pm it had alot of children in learning to swim so couldnt use the whirlpool part.we couldnt go earlier as check in was 3pm. . however still managed a pleasant swim as was partly in lanes . Lovely steam room and sauna. Lots of space in changing rooms. Gym was sufficiently equipped. Now for the meals.. Excellent. The chef certainly knew what he was doing. Everything cooked to perfection. Lovely and clean. The nice touch was the restaurant manager introduced himself to us and told us who would be taking our order and looking after us. Bedrooms great. room 49 was positioned in a good spot if your a smoker as was right outside the courtyard . my only fault was the showerhead was really dirty. so we took a bath each instead. would i return. Yes but next time for 2 days so could use the facilities when wasnt crowded, as booking out time was noon. Beautiful Golf course, and set in the middle of the country but only 15 minutes away from Norwich.. Ideal..

Room tip: room 49 is great if you smoke as opposite the courtyard.

We were 6 mature couples whose kids were friendly many years ago at primary school and we organised a weekend get together

The hotel initially had the feel of a glorified leisure club but this did not do it justice

The management had experienced problems the day before ( due to the adverse weather) and on Saturday afternoon there was a power failure for a few hours

In spite of these issues, the staff coped admirably and to a man ( or woman) - they were delightful

The a la carte dinner on the Saturday evening was excellent as was the service. All credit to Scott and his well trained team The breakfast was more than adequate

We didn’t get much use of the leisure facilities but they were extensive

All in all, a really lovely few days spent in a luxurious and very well run establishment

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel . The hotel is so welcoming and relaxing . The staff were lovely . We enjoyed a snack in the sports bar on our first night and a really enjoyable meal in the brasserie in sat night . The food is very tasty and good value and the breakfast was most enjoyable . Well worth a visit .

We decided on this hotel and restaurant for our mums 60th birthday.we were a party of 9 with 7 of us travelling from the northwest as we arrived there was a power cut but the staff were brilliant nothing was to much trouble for them a lot of other hotels should be trained by these guys in customer service and hospitality.luckily the power came back on just in time for dinner which was excellent we ate in the brasserie they really made our mums birthday special keep up the good work we will definitely be returning.

Often have afternoon tea here so thought we would try the Sunday lunch (offer on for £12.50 for two courses). I don't eat much but the lovely sounding starter of apple, beetroot and goat's cheese salad was a piece of water cress with 6 match stick size pieces of apple and 10 small cubes of beetroot which were so small they were hidden under the watercress leaf! Four mouthfuls and gone.
The main was tasty but again, one parsnip, two carrots, two roast potatoes smaller than golf balls; I wouldn't describe this as a hearty roast! Staff all pleasant as always and a nice setting but we went home and ate some cake as we were still hungry! There are a lot of options for eating out if you want a roast lunch and I can't see myself choosing this one again so sticking to afternoon tea. Only plus was at £12.50, at least I didn't feel robbed.
