There are very few places where your kids can actually see how things were actually done in the past. There can be a long wait but it is worth it.

Experiencing the old fashioned sweat and toil - wonderful to see and literally see the muscles arch and sweat drip from their brows as they physically pull the ferry pond across the river

The men who took us across the River were friendly and we enjoyed their banter as they walked us and our car across the River. The price you pay is for a round trip and you have to back by the ferry to cross before 6pm in the evening. The amount of R58 is very reasonable for a round trip.

Crossing the malgas river on the ferry was fun and not an everyday experience, we planned our route to cross the river with the ferry.
