“Superb!”
Reviewed April 10, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Just arrived home.
I have stayed at Blind Beck cottage for two weekends over Easter.
The first weekend with Friends and this weekend with Family.
Horton in Ribblesdale is a lovely little village with a couple pubs and fantastic scenery.(The Crown do lovely meals).
Blindbeck cottage is situated is the best position for the amazing views, 5min walk from the pub and very quiet.
The cottage is lovely, good size, everything you could possibly need, and comfy beds.
A warm welcome, homemade biscuits, plant cuttings, and baby lambs make up a lovely weekend and end to the Easter Holidays.
A huge Thankyou, and I am sure we will be booking again soon x

We really loved our stay at Blindbeck Cottage. It is very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Heather left home-baked biscuits and tea/coffe supplies.

The views are stunning - directly out the window to Pen y ghent.

The cottage is not about to get into Vogue Living but is very comfortable and has all you could need. Highly recommended either for familes or for friends.

“Traditional Country cottage charm”
Reviewed April 8, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My first thoughts on arriving were that the cottage is much bigger than expected and great value for money. It is very well equipped with everything that you could need of a self catering stay - even a stock of condiments that we all usually forget to take with us! There were some lovely shortbread biscuits on arrival and a jug of milk in the fridge for that much needed brew after a long journey. Heather also kindly put up an extra bed for us as we were travelling with 4 children. The views from the house are amazing....lambs to keep the children happy. There is a great park/playing fields just a 2min walk up the road for them to play in. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that some of the house fixtures and fittings are a little tired and in need of updating/refreshing and although I was not put off by this, I would imagine some people could be. There was some confusion about the access (keys are collected from the tea room next door from 2.30pm) and vacation time (10am) and I couldn't find any info about this on the website, booking or in the house itself. Maybe it would be helpful for a 'visitor info book' where all of this is outlined to prevent this happening again (as we had to throw everything in the car at a quick speed and still had wet hair post shower). Overall, a good house in a beautiful location run by a lovely couple.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean. It is equipped with everything you'd need and more. Very comfortable. Very warm. Perfect location for the Three Peaks. Great views of Pen y Ghent. 10 minute walk to The nearest pub, Five minutes to the train station. What more could you want?
