Staff very friendly, restaurant and bar areas lovely. Rooms ok but very dated however they were clean. The toilet in one of the rooms flushed constantly throughout the night then in the morning wouldn’t flush - when we mentioned this we were told they were sorry about that - not too good a response in my opinion. Food in the restaurant that evening was delicious. Ordered 2 cocktails mine was a porn star martini but didn’t look or taste like one so it didn’t get drank. A pleasant enough evening however, I feel it was overpriced and maybe that’s why it seemed empty. Maybe they should do breakfast room and evening meal offers. We could have stayed at Redworth Hall cheaper and had use of the leisure facilities for less than we paid. I’d give it a 6/7 out of 10

This hotel allows aggressive , loud dogs into the lounge and bar area
They bark loudly and aggressively as hotel boarders and other customers go for a quiet drink
This is the area of seating just outside the restaurant , around the bar area
The owners are actually allowed to laugh at and have a negative attitude to scared customers as they approach the area for a seat
Everyone who approaches the lounge to sit with drinks , is there for peace and relaxation
The prices of the drinks and bar food / snacks are well above the average and are nothing special
So to allow dogs into the area - especially of an aggressive and untrained temperament is clearly out of order
There are usually two male staff and one female on duty around the bar and they make absolutely no efforts to ensure the frightened , offended customers were reassured or that these offensive owners are removed from the premises
We feel we need to alert others to this standard of conduct in this very overpriced, uncaring hotel

Wonderful Christmas fayre lunch. We arrived . With a lovely welcome . The prawn cocktail was fantastic & all of us opted for Turkey dinner & also fantastic . We are Definitely going to book for next year. I would highly recommend The Beamish Park
