Stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting Beamish museum. The staff were amazing, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Large quiet comfortable clean room with parking just outside. Every meal we had was well cooked and tasty, would highly recommend the hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed at the Beamish hotel while visiting Beamish museum, only problem sat nav took us a small lane just 100 yards up the road so look out for a white pub across the road from it. The room was spacious well equipped and comfortable. We found all the staff helpful and polite which made our stay relaxing and pleasurable. The Bistro menu not large but plenty of choice well cooked and enjoying. The breakfast was plentiful a choice of full English or continental, again well cooked and enjoyable. Would recommend to stay if going to the Beamish museum as it’s about three miles from it. We would use again, there is plenty of parking space .

Room tip: Beamish Hotel is opposite the white pub not down a one way track 100 yds from it that most sat nav’s want to take you

I have visited the hotel and restaurant several times over the years, but hadn’t found time to post a review. I felt I should after such a fabulous experience on Father’s Day (16th June) the staff we’re amazing and attentive, especially with my 3 year old daughter, they entertained her, brought her treats and really made us all so welcome. The food as always was outstanding, the Sunday roasts being in my top 5 I’ve ever had and the prawns 👌🏻 You also have to try their bloody Mary’s legendary! This time we only came for a meal, but I have previously stayed over night in the hotel which I would also highly recommend. 10/10 all round great spot for family celebrations good food and a great atmosphere.

I won’t be recommend going here for dinner! To start the baby high chair that was put out for us was absolutely disgusting it’s was covered in food and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I would sit in let alone my child!
Staff weren’t very helpful and it came across like everything was a chore for them to do and they didn’t want to be there.
We got ignored a few times when items were missing and had to repeatedly ask.
The only good thing was the food which was nice.
It’s a real shame as we love to eat local but when you feel like the staff aren’t bothered then that just makes you feel unwelcome.

Absolutely fantastic, we had a dog friendly room. On arrival we found bowls, beds and treats for our 2 dogs. Which we though was a lovely touch. The surrounding area is so picturesque and great for walking or just chilling out. The ground floor room was amazing. We drove straight up to the door. As simple as that. Staff were very friendly and knowlegable of the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend giving this place a try. 😊😊
