Been coming here as long as I can remember with my family. Lovely cosy cafe, very rustic and pretty. Big portions of fresh home made food. Excellent and friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options and the soup is always amazing. Beautiful views of the beck and the surrounding hills.

Thank Fiona G

Although a large mouthwatering menu, we settled for afternoon coffee and scones, and they were the best, soft scones I have had in a very long time.

What more could I ask for ? A clean, well laid out and peaceful cafe looking out onto a river with my perfect scones and a large coffee.

A must visit and we will be back.

Whether walking in the area or driving through, the priest's Mill is well worth a stop for the two small shops and this excellent cafe serving lovely home made cakes pastries and sandwiches and much more. Lovely.

We popped in for a cafe stop whilst cycling, perfect location for a break and surrounded by nought but scenery.

The prices were a little higher than expected but everything was to a high standard. Lovely quiche washed down with tea and tasty carrot cake!

A visit to Caldbeck was on our to do list on a recent trip to Cumbria and we were not disappointed: it is a beautiful place and we stopped for coffee at the Watermill Café which is in a lovely old building situated beside a craft shop. The refreshments are of a very high standard - the date slice is just gorgeous - and menus for themed dinners and even Christmas, are available and look very tempting indeed.

Staff are lovely, efficient and helpful. Would highly recommend.
