We visited as a family of 4, early one evening and we had a great time with our dog.

The pub is split into 2 halves. The bar area has a stone floor, a small number of tables and is dog friendly. The restaurant has several interconnected areas.

The menu is good in terms of interest, being solid pub fayre.

Sensible prices. Good beer. Friendly and attentive service.

Thank Ed L

Took my daughter and her family for a meal. Original idea was to walk there, but rain and wind made us drive. However lots of walks based on the pub. We all enjoyed our meal, the service and helpful staff made it enjoyable. Coupled with excellent food, including many veggie options made the day for us. Will go again.

Lovely dinner at this beautiful presented thatched pub. Food was good (especially the steak and ale pie). We were well looked after and the kids enjoyed ham, egg and chips “very good” crips think chips. I would recommend booking ahead.

Haven’t been to this pub for about seven years and what a transformation! Wonderful array of beers (and gin!) and lunch was befitting of the ambience.
Restaurant is quaint and you would need to book well in advance during holiday periods.

What a super pub! The main bar is bright an airy but carry on through to the dining area and it is lots of small cosy rooms with one or a few tables in them. The food we had was fantastic, service slightly slow but they were very busy and it was worth waiting for.

We went after a dog walk on the coast nearby and booked first which is advisable as they do get very busy - dogs are allowed in the bar and you can book a table in there. If you have muddy boots there is a rack outside where you can put them or they supply plastic covers to go on them.

We had the sun dried tomato risotto (delicious), the burger and the Chicken escalope - clean plates and compliments all round. I would definitely recommend a visit here and shall be going back
