This was our 3rd visit and did not disappoint. Especially as we picked the best week weather wise! When we arrived we upgraded and were able to check in early. This gave us extra time to enjoy the outdoor heated pool which we all loved. The park has beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities, we really cannot fault it! The entertainment staff are fantastic, the kids highlight was the disco every night, and my son was so over the moon to be invited on stage by MK to sing and dance along with his Bruno Mars tribute. A dream come true for a 7 year old and made me a very proud mum! We did not want to go home, and will definitely be back. A great location, so close to beaches, we visited Sandbanks and Swanage during our stay. A brilliant place for young families to enjoy their holidays.

We have visited Sandford on numerous occasions and had always felt that we would love to return, after this year's trip however this is the first time we felt like not coming back. But I will say there were still some good points. Firstly phoning up to book the pitch, the receptionist was lovely and couldn't do enough to help, we have a daughter with Autism who struggles with processing change and the unknown. The receptionist made some useful suggestions for pitches based on our needs, she also emailed a site map so we could see the number of the pitch we had previously camped at, this immediately reduced our daughter's anxiety. Great start, even when we tried to extend our booking before the trip the customer service was excellent and although it was not possible we could see the gentleman tried his best to help.

On arrival the site was quite busy but we managed to get through the admin quickly and were able to pitch our tent a little earlier than the 2pm stated on the form. Pitch itself was very nice, flat, shaded by a few trees and close to toilets. All good so far, we went down to the mini market store which had a large variety of groceries and the staff who worked in there were polite & helpful. The prices we thought were reasonable as well.

Both swimming pools were nice if a little overcrowded, the staff there were polite, professional and you had confidence that although very busy they would ensure safety standards would be adhered to.

Sadly this is where the pros end and the cons start, we then had a large group of travellers pitch up next to and around our pitch, their car actually parked on our pitch, it was that night we saw why, they had a few extra people turn up and put more tents on their pitches. That evening they had loud music, drunken behaviour and swearing which went onto early hours of the morning. Not sure if security went round that night but certainly didn't curtail the activities.

The next morning we mentioned it at the campsite office, the lady was helpful and said they would sort it out. I got the impression other campers had complained by the knowing looks when we informed them. To be fair the next night was much better, however the following evening we heard drunken and threatening behaviour outside our tent.

This is such a shame as it really marred our visit, other niggles were that the toilets were so dirty and locks broken, where as previously they'd always been clean and fresh. Another little niggle was the food in the restaurant which took ages to be cooked and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. My daughter's chicken was dry and well overcooked. To be fair though the French fries and chips were really nice.

The bar always seemed to be so busy, it was like waiting in line to go on a theme park ride just waiting for a drink. One other good point was the amusements, our kids loved them. As a parent I appreciated the good variety and number of 2p machines as well as the air hockey and bowling.

Previously I would have given Parkdean Sandford 4 or 5 stars but this time Ive really struggled to give it an average rating. Not sure if they tried to cram too many campers in or whether people flaunted the rules, I'm loathed to suggest clearer pitch dividers as camping is about freedom, however if other people take liberties this may need to be the case along with a stricter enforcement of security.

We will keep an eye on tripadvisor to see other people's experiences and hope your high standards return and who knows if reviews seem more favourable we may well return in a couple of years.

Visited here with my partner and my mum n dad for a four day break from Monday till Friday, Park was ok on arrival, we arrived a bit early than the 4 o clock booking in as advised and took the chance that the caravan may be ready but it wasn’t, we were given the keys anyway and were told we could go round to it.
We had upgraded the caravan from a basic to one that had decking round it and it was a three bed one, anyway my partner asked the cleaner how long it would be until the caravan was ready and she advised at least a hour,so this gave us opportunity to look round the park. It all was very clean n tidy, we had a drink round by the reception area as the week we were there it was very hot.
Anyway after that we went back to the caravan,we were pleased with the caravan...apart from a couple of light bulbs flickering and then the outside decking area needed a clean as where the caravan was, trees were above it leaving debris, also the garden furniture was filthy and could not be sat on, my dad called to reception to advise this, eventually they did come out to clean but a man just swept and wiped down the chairs n left without a word...my dad had to go down to reception again to advise that the job done was rubbish, they did come down n jet wash the decking n then did replace the furniture.

We thought we would try the chippy on site the first nite n wished we hadn’t bothered, their were two young people working in there, my dad was not impressed on how they were defrosting the fish in the back room, he is a ex chef, the lad seemed startled on when he saw my dad watching on how he was doing it. Anyway the food itself was well over cooked the fish especially and the chips were too, I advise anyone not to bother as it seemed the staff had not a clue on how to work a fryer probably.

We went to the pub next door the next night which was very enjoyable and would recommend eating there instead (claypipe inn)

Would we visit here again....probably not think I will stick to haven holidays in future...

We have just returned from a five day break at Sandford Holiday Park which we have been using as a base for going out to all the other various attractions and visitor destinations in and around the Isle of Purbeck area. It was excellent value and the caravans we booked were absolutely fine although a little dusty in places but the beds toilets and showers were all clean. Reading some of the other reviews the motorbikes speeding along the Warham Road at night and early mornings still appears to be an on going issue and I wonder why the police and local authority have not put any traffic calming measuers in place along this stretch of road so I am also wondering if Park Dean has opened up a dialogue with these bodies to make them aware of the noise pollution being caused to its guests and also to make them aware of the problem. On a different and much more positive note; the only on site facility we used was the outdoor pool which our two grand daughters absolutely loved. We would definately come back to Park Dean again but not to Sandford Park as we always like to try somewhere new each time.
