Decided to call in on our way home from a long walk and have lunch. It was very quiet, just us at 1pm on a Tuesday. I had a chilli jacket potato. Absolutely huge. Tasty and good value. My husband had a sausage sandwich which he also enjoyed. Couldn't fault the food or the staff who were very friendly.

Our first visit since last October, The Crown now has new management who are very nice, Tribute or Greene King IPA on the Beer pumps, I had Tribute again (very well kept). Our Meals were well presented, plentiful & very tasty. The Chips are excellent. We will be back again a lot sooner.

Very friendly, homely place for lunch. Very welcoming and a varied home-cooked menu. Nice and warm, on a cold day, and a generally pleasing atmosphere.

The Crown is a very traditional pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Sunday menu is limited but with choices that would suit all. The food was cooked and served quickly it was well presented a little to much salad garnish on the plates but nice and fresh. The desserts were all traditional and the Sherry trifle and syrup sponge pudding all went down well. A very pleasant meal.
