A really warm welcome from Karen when we arrived. These are working stables - with everything that goes with that. Room was small, but had everything we needed. A good selection of teas and coffee's but alas - no kettle. Water from the tap was very hot, and we made do. A couple of local pubs who all did excellent evening meals. The full breakfast was very tasty with locally sourced produce though did arrive before we'd finished our cereal! All in all an excellent base for exploring the area.

Room Tip: The accommodation is in the middle of the country and very quiet.

We had a lovely two hour ride today at Pentre stables. Very accommodating for our mixed ability group and the instructors were so friendly and helpful. So reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back soon!!

Myself and my family decided to book a last minute holiday for the Easter holidays as we saw this bed and breakfast was also a horse riding stables we thought it was perfect for my daughter who loves horses and animals. The large family room was perfect for the three of us and my daughter loved the pink deco, it was cleaned every day and felt freshly made the beds where comfy and there was plenty of refreshments for ourselves and our daughter, Our daughter went horse riding for the whole day and loved it she even got to play and spend time with the family’s dogs who where absolutely beautiful something we would never get in London.
This holiday was truly perfect for a family wanting a chance to feel a countryside atmosphere. And the price is so reasonable,
We will be back very soon
Thank you all for making it so wonderful.

Room Tip: Room 2 was great

Stayed at the Stables for one night, as we attended a wedding at the Castle over the road. Location was great for this and Castle room prices are a lot more, cannot understand why the Castle do not offer a cheaper rate to encourage wedding guests to stay!
Staff pleasant and cooked breakfast good.
Our room was up in the attic and overlooked the yard, I have nothing against horses, and should probably have realised this when I booked - but the aroma of horse manure is quite overpowering at times. Could not keep the window open, and have to agree about the dogs too. Barking pretty much onwards from sunrise.

Although have to admit, if I’d known about these beforehand, would still have stayed - maybe request a room that does not overlook stables/kennels for a better nights sleep.

Overall, value for money.
