We dined here recently. It'd been over a year since we last visited and the whole experience was better from every point of view.
Valerie was warm and welcoming as always. The restaurant was quite busy compared to our last visit which was nice. Bottled craft beer was available in the bar which lovely to sit in whilst perusing the menu.
I found it hard to choose what to eat from the menu as there were so many nice options.I settled for the mozzarella salad, the fillet of beef and the lemon tart, all of which were delicious. I was delighted to see the reintroduction of the canapés prior to the starter. The small soup, beef croquettes and breads were delicious.
The only negative was the price of the espresso which was in fact a 'nespresso' capsule. It was priced at £3.00. Extortionately priced given I could have had one at home at the cost of 32p.
Apart from that we had a lovely time.
