When we arrived the pub was still very busy with its popular Sunday lunch trade. Reception was very friendly and helpful. In the evening it was much quieter, with the opportunity for walks along the river, and to sit on our balcony, over-looking the willow trees.
Warning though...take insect repellant - the mosquitos are vicious.
Also - the trains pass close by and start quite early in the morning if you are light sleepers! WE were up early anyway so didn't bother us.
It wasn't very clear to us whether food would be available in the evening so we went for meat ploughman and cheese and biscuits as a last order from lunch time trade (5pm) - very good. Breakfast in the morning was also a good range of cooked breakfast, but disappointed not to be offered any fruit.More
