Beautiful Gem in a beautiful Area.

Review of The Lodge Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks ago
Oh what a find. Although my husband originates from Cromer, neither of us have ever visited the North West area of Norfolk , so this time we decided on booking in at The lodge in Old Hunstanton . What a fabulous place. We selected to stay in the coal bunker, a double room within an elegant courtyard. The room was beautiful, with a huge double bed, lovely bathroom and was immaculately clean.
The Main lodge was spotless with a large bar, conservatory and pretty garden area to either have a drink or a meal in.
The Staff were all so friendly and the food was amazing. Must recommend the Roast sirloin of beef, it was to die for.
Will definitely be returning .
Thank you to all for a memorable stay that we won’t stop talking about.
Date of stay: September 2024
Room Tip: The Lodge seems to be a very popular destination for a stay or just for a great meal. I would...

We had a lovely 4 night break with our dog in The Coal Bunker, the room was spacious, very comfortable and beautifully furnished, the bathroom (not en-suite) was perfect with a modern spacious shower and jacuzzi bath. Situated in the courtyard it was ideal for dog people and the beautiful beach is a 5 minute walk.
The staff in the restaurant/bar were all smiley and helpful and the food excellent, it surprises me it is 3 star, definitely deserves to be a 4*. We will be returning.

First time stayed. everything was great. The room was immaculate, with great restaurant food and friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the room named Garden Shed in the courtyard. Definitely will go back. In a good position to walk to the beach

Room tip: Really loved the Courtyard rooms.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. An excellent place to stay when exploring the North Norfolk Coast. Really enjoyed our weekend stay in a well appointed room and made to feel incredibly welcome by the amazing staff. Highly recommended.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Lodge, however we have eaten here on many occasions when visiting the area. The service is always excellent, the staff are very friendly and will help in any way that they can. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The food is wonderful, especially the Sunday lunch and it is served until late which is great. Welcoming to children & dogs alike and very close to Old Hunstanton beach (walking distance), Brancaster beach (driving), & many other attractions. Thank you for a lovely stay!
