We found the cabin to be comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the sunny patio with views of the hills and the music of bird song was delightful. The long garden is wonderful for an evening stroll, when the scents of the roses, citrus blossom, jasmine and lavender fill the air. When we there the apricot orchard (at the foot of the garden) was full of blossom.
Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. This is a great base from which to tour the Northern Galilee and Golan Heights.
We LOVED staying at Bayit Bateva. We spent our days visiting the area after a fabulous breakfast with outstanding coffee & stimulating conversation. The owners are very friendly, informal & knowledgeable regarding the area. It was like having 'Israel Regional History class' at breakfast before heading out for the day. We went to the Church of the Beatitudes on the Sea of Galilee one morning to watch the sunrise, drove north to the Israeli Defense Force bunker at the top of Bental Mount, where the highest coffeehouse in Israel sits, at around 1,165 meter above sea level, “Coffee Annan” "coffee in the clouds"…which had amazing coffee (again!) there we could see for miles into Syria (east) & MT Hermon to the north. We were lucky enough to be able to go to the bird reserve, Agamon Hula, where hundreds of Common Cranes, several Great Egret,Wigeon,Glossy Ibis & a couple of Black Kite or Spotted Eagle (not sure) thanks to Isar's connections. The Hagoshrim Kibbutz was also interesting. Tali, Thank you for making our visit such a fascinating, restful & educational experience.
