“Bamburgh Lodge”
Reviewed October 15, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A place with spectacular views and within easy travel distance to many locations, on arrival there was a bottle of wine waiting, the cabin had everything we needed, there was also a book with places to visit - times and costs of the attractions, Bamburg castle well worth a visit.
The local pub 15 min walk away served excellent food - would advise having a torch for the journey back as no street lighting.

Liked best: scenery & location
Liked least: chairs were uncomfortable to sit on, the sofabed would be inadequate for sleeping two & you cannot sit on it during the day as too unconfortable - note left for owner as previous occupant had pointed this out and noted by owners

“Really enjoyed our stay..”
Reviewed August 12, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My husband and I stayed at Bamburgh Lodge for 5 nights. It is a lovely cosy little lodge with everything you might need. The kitchen is very well eqiupped. The surroundings are beautiful, it is so peaceful, and the birdlife is fascinating to watch. It is in a great location for exploring. We will definitely return. Oh and there was a complimentary bottle of wine, which is a nice touch.

“LOVELY CHILLED OUT LODGE”
Reviewed July 26, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Beautiful lodge, very well equipped, cosy and homely, however the sofa in the lounge area was very uncomfortable to sit on and was definitely was not double size, if 4 adults were staying there would be a problem with sleeping. The bathroom was excellent, the shower was exceptional, loved the fact they provided really high quality towels and lovely products to use. Loved the location, the local Village Inn provided great food.

Lodge nice and clean - welcoming bottle of wine a nice touch ;) Great location for exploring Northumberland - easy access to all main attractions (e.g. Alnick Castle & Gardens) , the Coast (Seahouses for Billy Shiels Boat trip to Farne Islands). Lodge had brilliant views nice to sit outside , designated BBQ area , easy to find , nice & quiet. Lodge had all facilities you could need with exception of WiFi (but sometimes it's nice to get away and just relax!!). Really enjoyed our stay - recommended by family member who had stayed. Would recommend.

Our trip to bamburgh lodge could not have been any more perfect, it was everything we could of asked, clean, cosy, comfortable. We will definitely be returning....perhaps summer time...to enjoy a bbq out on the porch over looking the wonderful view.

“Amazing relaxing, beautiful holiday”

We stayed a week in the Bamburgh lodge with two children under 3. The lodge was spotless and welcoming when we walked in, and they were kind enough to leave us a bottle of wine, a welcome pack and chocolates for the kids. The lodge definitely looks alot bigger in person than it does on the photos, but it's still charming and cosy. The views from the front windows are out of this world. Lovely peaceful site, honestly couldn't recommend it more, we're already planning our next stay. The notebook full of visitors reviews was a great touch. Definitely recommend Seahouses boat trip (we saw dolphins!), Druridge bay beach and if you get the time a drive around the North Pennines, some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.
