“Idyllic island with superb beaches and water.”
Reviewed November 27, 2018

We took a boat to this island with a short ride from Budva. It was just a great place to get some sun and lay on the beach while watching the city of Budva from a distance. Views are spectacular and the water is crystal clear. There is a restaurant on the island if you like getting some food and refreshments after getting your daily dosage of sunshine. Hiking on the rocks or jumping into the water is another fun activity if you feel a little adventurous. Well worth the trip.

“Rocky beaches are not for me”
Reviewed October 12, 2018

Driving into Budva the Island of St. Nicholas (the largest in Montenegro) dominates your view out into the Adriatic. The two-kilometre island is uninhabited except in the summer when it is the destination for swimming, lying on the rocky beaches or escaping from the throngs of people on the beaches of Budva. During high season numerous boats provide round-trip service from town. At low tide, it is possible to wade to the mainland via a small and narrow isthmus.
We only viewed the island as it was October, on a tight schedule, and I don't do rocky beaches.

“Much pleasure for low cost”

There is a small uninhabited island in the Adriatic sea near Budva called Montenegro Hawaii - Island of St.Nicholas. It's the great place to enjoy amazing views of the Budva Riviera and absolutely clear water of the Adriatic sea. But mind the rocks! It would be hard without swim shoes.
And the best thing in the trip to the island is the way itself! You can take a "fast" ticket (3 euros) and just to the island on boat straight from the Budva's shores and it takes about 15 minutes. Another option is boat trip alongside the Riviera to the Island of St.Stefan and then to the Island of St. Nicholas. It costs only 4 euros but believe me you'll get a lot of pleausre and have a chance to see quite this private and beautiful island!

“Perfect place for nature lovers”

Enjoy beautiful 10-15 minutes boat trip from Slovenska plaza to the island of St Nicholas, which is popular as Hawaii among the locals. Then choose one of a few beaches on the island and relax in some of casual bars there. It may be interesting to explore underwater world around the island, or hike a little bit if you are adventurous one.
