The first night of our weekend in Venice we chose this restaurant, recommended by the manager of our apartment.
Via Garibaldi is the vibrant main street of the eastern part of the Castello "Sestiere" (neighborhood); there are many restaurants, but not all were full despite being Friday night.
This restaurant instead was full, vacant tables were only inside; which is always a good sign.
And indeed our experience has been satisfactory, especially considering that in Venice it's very easy to run into tourist traps.
There were four of us, and we ordered two starters (shared) and four main courses.
The "mixed seafood" starter was very appreciable. It included, inter alia, two narrow long shells, called in Italian "cannolicchi", a scallop shell, "mantecato" (creamed) cod. My main course - an appetizing and abundant mixed fried seafood - was also appreciable; as well as the stewed squid with white polenta, ordered by my wife. In short, our dinner was a joy for the palate.
The price of these dishes was fair by the average in Venice. The final bill (140 euros), however, rose because we were persuaded to order a high qualiy "Prosecco" wine bottle, 25 euros.
However this restaurant is very advisable from every point of view
