This is a quaint little studio apartment located in the Castello district of Venice. Our hosts provided us with excellent directions, a simple boat ride from the train station to Osperale, where we were met by out host and then taken on a 3 minutes walk to the property. From here we were able to walk easily on foot all over the island and take in the beautiful sights, sounds and tastes of venice. The only downside to this lovely apartment is that one neighbour seems to move furniture every morning around 7am and this can be quite disturbing. Our hosts have a great knowledge of the local area and recommended places to eat, and offered advice on places to avoid eating, such as in St Marco Square as the restaurant properties there aren't actually big enough to house kitchens, so they just heat food up with a microwave and charge the earth for it. All in all this was a wonderful spot to use as a base for our honeymoon, our own little piece of venice to enjoy.
