We absolutely loved our stay here - it is a really special place. The rooms are beautiful as is the rest of hotel. They cook amazing meals in the evening - we dined there 3 out of 4 nights as a result . Organic breakfast items, all food sourced from local area. Lovely setting with great views . Perfect location to explore the surrounding cities and towns . Very welcoming owners . Would love to stay again one day

Excellent facility, beautiful little town. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful. We've stayed in a lot of places in many countries and consider this a fabulous experience. Would go back in a minute.

The perfect small hotel in the perfect location: Hospederia la Era is one of the very best we have stayed in.
Almedinilla is a lovely village with a superb Roman villa archaeological site and other attractions. The surrounding local towns of Priego de Cordoba and Alcala la Real have much to offer and the mountainous countryside of the Subbetica, clothed in olive groves, is outstanding. For travelling further afield, Granada, Cordoba, Jaen and Ubeda, the jewels in the crown of eastern Andalusia are all within easy driving, on well maintained and very empty roads.
The hotel building itself is a delightful space with the feel of a 17th century manor house, even though it is only fifteen years old. Rooms are large, light and airy and the public spaces are calm, secluded and very tastefully decorated. Davinia and Raul are the perfect hosts, helpful and attentive to your every need. They organised tickets for us to visit the Alhambra in Granada, and on our last day Davinia even drove over to the next town to get some prize winning olive oil for us, as they had sold the last of their stock to some other guests. Breakfasts and evening meals on the terrace are delightful. All the meals are cooked by Raul using organic local produce to great effect; he was even able to adjust the menu to suit our dietary needs!

My two days stay at La Era was truly lovely.
The hotel is well decorated, capturing the rural ambiente using only traditional materials and original handcraft.
The food is excellent, ecological and cooked with care.
Most importantly the two owners who take care of the place are really nice.
I truly recomend it.
