Lovely stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 28, 2019
My wife and I arrived late on a friday evening to stay for 2 nights whilst at a wedding. Despite our late arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. We were very pleased to find that the bar was still open and even though we were too late for the restaurant, we were offered some breads, cheeses and cold meats to enjoy with our wine.. The breakfasts were also very good and overall we both enjoyed using the hotel and would happily recommend to anyone travelling the vines in Bordeaux.

We were attending a godsons wedding hosted some 5k away. This fine hotel was recommended.

The whole hotel has been very recently totally renovated to a high standard. We were all delighted with our choice. Can thoroughly recommend.

Check out the walk up the hill to the local church. Well worth the effort.

Small and quiet hotel. Our room was comfy and had a lovely view. We ate dinner on the terrace and it was an interesting and very tasty menu.
This was an overnight stop enroute to Spain and it made a lovely and relaxing start to our holiday.

This hotel is in a small village, we were brought by coach. The hotel itself is quite small with 10 bedrooms spread over the ground and first floor. They have recently been redecorated and revamped with high-quality furniture and fittings. Very comfortable and quiet with en-suite bathroom.
Family run with a small bar and large dining area. We were given an excellent dinner and breakfast with friendly and good service.
For a quiet, friendly off the beaten track stay this was most enjoyable.

Rooms great , very very quite location , we were there for a wedding nearby, gardens need addressing, rusty tables , unkempt gardens, Chicken run hadn't been cleaned out for some time. If your going to keep animals in public view then keep habitat clean.
When we arrived we had missed lunch so asked if they could do a sandwich or something , was told very abruptly no!
As it was near end of season hotel very quiet, the owners had gone on hols and left a lady in charge , at one point the hotel was locked up and we were told to come in the fire escape when we came home, we came back to hotel early Sunday afternoon as I had not been feeling well , front entrance all locked , everything locked, nearly fell over on the wet slippery decking getting to fire escape, no lights left on . Nothing, couldn't even get a cup of tea or a bottle of water. No amenities nearby that we knew of .
Breakfast was ok.

We stayed two nights. It was a perfect base to explore the vineyards and St Emilion. The rooms were very clean and very nicely decorated. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on the road and this can be a little noisy during the night.
