It was worth the drive to eat at the Blacksmiths Arms in Westow. There were 8 of us. It was nice and warm inside and the staff were welcoming. It was a quiet weekday night. We took quite a long time to order as it was 3 years since we were together with some members of our family. The staff were patient and didn't hurry us! 2 of us had the belly pork with potato and celeriac mash. It was delicious. The other meals were steak and ale pie, fish cakes and duck breast. Everyone was very happy with their choice! It isn't the cheapest meal in the world, But as the food was well presented and tasty it was worth it for a special evening out!
