Nice Escape

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 3, 2019
After some hectic city seeing in Monopoli, Molfetta, Trani and Polignano a Mare, it was great to go east and enjoy two nights at the very comfortable Le Fabriche near Maruggio. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the farm/vineyard location made for a great opportunity to catch our breath. Forays to Otranto, and then down to Santa Maria di Leuca were breathtaking, with the return to our 'oasis' just right. dinner at the Masseria on the first night was so good, that we returned the following evening. Service throughout was excellent.

Lovely country setting, up against vineyards. Room was spacious, clean, and nicely designed. Huge shower. No alcohol in the minibar. Nice little patio outside the room to look into nature. The two rows of rooms are a few minutes walk from the main building. There, you have a couple of friendly staff on hand. There's a great restaurant that offers a few options each night, good spritzes, and good local wine. It was warm so we ate out on a lovely large terrace overlooking the grounds. Breakfast is nice too, a big spread of local bread, fruit, jams, etc. It's not very wine-centric, but a lovely retreat. A few minutes' drive from the coast and a decent beach club (Posto 9).

Great place to relax in Puglia. Beautiful set up in a vineyard. You are a little far away but it is worth it. Not much to see in Maruggio.

The staffs are very nice . They will feel you at home. The food is realy good and the terrasse is stunning.

Highly recommended if you do not mind driving

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautifully designed bedrooms with impressive attention to detail. Great staff who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night as it was so good. Carlo the waiter was particularly helpful in suggesting what to eat and drink. The only thing which would have made it prefect would be the addition of a swimming pool to cool off in the heat of the day. Otherwise all good.

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge, this is it. The Masseria is located in the midst of vineyard with outstanding views of the countryside. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with a wonderful modern shower setup. The bed was super comfortable and with a limited number of rooms, the hotel caters to a relaxed lifestyle. The main building is gorgeous. The restaurant was very good using fresh ingredients.

I went there on my stay in Apulia and visited the restuarant which is just great.

The portions seem to be quite small but when you are finished with the dinner, you are really stuffed.

All courses are pretty small but the overall combination makes you sated. The view over the Salento peninsula from the terrace (be sure to reserve a table there) is just priceless.

The prices for every single course are pretty sporty, but you get some real food porn for your money combined with the great environment. Definitely need to go there if you are not on a budget for food.
