“Idyllic, peaceful and beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 5 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

A most amazing stay for my family- 2 adults and 2 children ( 5 and 3 )
We were pleasantly suprised that the cottage was even nicer in real life than on the internet.
It is simply beautiful with lots of little extra`s that you wouldn`t expect from a self catering property.
The owner Peter is also very friendly and goes out of his way to make your stay a special one.
Location is great for families wanting a central location to many attractions.
Can`t wait for our next stay:-)

“Amazing stay, shame to leave”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights and it was everything we expected and more. Peter and Kim were lovely and incredibly helpful with everything. They had so much knowledge about the surrounding areas and gave us advice on the things we should do whilst we stayed at Brockieside. Little Heerah is a beauty and came to visit us everyday, she really is the star of Brockieside. Everything was spotless and it was just like being at home, we couldn't fault anything. It was an amazing stay and we only wish we could've stayed longer. Thankyou Peter and Kim you made this one of our most memorable weekends so far.

“Real get away”
Reviewed 31 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It is a real get away. It was quite and the environment can only be described as natural. Peter (Owner) was on hand to receive us despite arriving late. My children enjoyed seeing chicken and cows at close proximity. My six year old boy helped to pick eggs and got rewarded with two eggs (He is already asking me when are we going back). I personally enjoyed the natural state of the drinking water, it brought back my childhood memories - good stuff. Our stay was brief, but we hope to return for a longer stay in the nearest future.

“wonderful place”
Reviewed 28 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

this was such a lovely place....it has been done up with alot of care and attention in order to ensure it is perfect for people's stay .....
the whole place was modern and cosy
the views from the property were outstanding
there were so many things that you just do not find in most self catering places ..for example a computer for your use with internet access and printer plus docking station to play music from your phone if need be, a variety of different teas, herbs & spices, a huge flat screen tv with sky, electric airer in a cupboard if you needed it, a toddlers loo seat , lovely ornaments and pictures etc etc
and the place was spotlessly clean
my only issue was the bed was a bit too hard for me ( a foam mattress topper would have made it perfect ) but for others it probably would be ok
peter was so friendly and helpful

all in all this was a fantastic place to stay and we wish we had booked for longer...will return and highly recommend

It was late when we arrived, Peter and his lovely dog were there to meet us he was so nice showing us where things were. The cottage is so snug ideal for my partner me and our two dogs. The views are breathtaking it was so relaxing we found some nice walks we were both disappointed to leave. You will fall in love with this cottage I did !

When we drove to the property we were saying: 'if it's laying on that hill, that would be marvellous'. And it was! The surroundings were fantastic. Very tranquil, a beautiful house, with a beautiful view. And if that wasn't enough we were very warmly welcomed by Peter and his wife. They were very kind, gave us good tips to do in the neighbourghoud, were to go to eat,... Lovely people.
We will not forget our first stay in Scotland thanks toPeter and his wife. Certainly a place you want to go back.
