Split a traditional Peruvian ceviche and fish burrito along with a couple pisco sours and we were happy. Very casual yet well presented. Gracias.

We went here on a Monday night and it wasn't that crowded. Very comfortable with an open environment and a smaller hotel as part of the property. Nice touch with surfer videos showing non stop in large scale on one wall the whole night, with a couch and chairs in front of it so you could just relax with a drink. The service and recommendations were great. We had the ceviche for an appetizer which was huge! It could have been the entire meal - just a pile of ceviche and also fried calamari and shrimp. Delicious! My husband had the Mahi Mahi (they were out of tuna, which he wanted) and he said it was very good. I tried one of the surfer menu items, 3 chicken tacos. It was available with either corn or flour tortillas and I forgot to ask for corn and they didn't ask, just brought them in flour. The filling was yummy, but the flour tortillas somewhat dry. I like this place - it's worth the drive on the dirt road to get there - our phone gps was a little off, but we kept driving and found it.

This was the best place in Playa Negra in all categories. The atmosphere was super chill, all good vibes. The staff was outstanding. We were not hotel guests, but we were still treated like family. At first we weren't sure if it was a public bar/restaurant, but as soon as Daniel and Amanda saw
Us were were greeted with huge smiles and Pura Vidas!! Then Lela the bartender saw we had bags and immediately asked if we needed her to put anything in the fridge for us. We were already sold on this place
After that, but then the food happened and all I can say is Wow! Amanda introduced me to Patacones which will forever be a favorite. The fresh fish was amazing, casado, breakfast, and desserts! I can not say enough good things about this place. It will forever be one of my greatest memories of this trip. We went back just about every day for a drink, or food, or just a laugh with the staff. If
You don't experience this place
You are missing out.

Just finished a week in Playa Negra and I think we went there almost every day even if just for a drink. The white marlin especial was perfect. The tuna ceviche was great and even better with patacones. Even the burger was great. Don't miss out on the ice cream sandwich at the end of the night either. The staff was the best part. Daniel, Amanda and Lela couldn't be more helpful and attentive. We felt welcome every time we walked in. It was well worth the half mile walk every day. This will be our first stop next time we visit.

Very friendly staff and food is really good. Very close to the beach with reasonable prices for both lodging and food compared to places right on the beach. Right in middle of the town so easy walk to all the other places within playa negra.
