hotel: not easy to access as once you have parked at the plaza near the church , you need to go up a steep street by foot to reach the hotel. Very nice helpful staff. Clean room and clean sheets, blankets are the bed covers so a bit worn out. Otherwise comfortable bed in small room.
Restaurant: genuine chef cooking genuine food. simple but well prepared and tasty. friendly one woman show. perfect!
area: amazing scenery but not from our room window. the town itself is not very lively during the week at end of September.
good wifi. incredibly small tv screen but yes, it is flat screen! my only gripe is the perfume used in the bedroom which is not necessary and too strong. otherwise we had a lovely stay. thank you!

This hotel has an amazing setting on a steep hill. A bit tight in the village square to park the car and we got the last space.Imagine it would be more tricky in summer. We stayed in the Frenchin room. On the plus side: This was a great value room. They allowed our dog to stay with us:The room is spacious and the view is amazing. The restaurant meal was great and good value. On the minus side: The bed was too soft for me and the bolts need tightening on the bed frame. No space for your toiletries while showering. The floor had quite a lot of dust and the linen had some stains. Little things that could be easily fixed and earn 5 stars.

Room tip: I think all rooms have that view.

We spent 6 nights. Scenic view to the Riglos dos Mallos, silent, very relaxing atmosphere - we really enjoyed our stay. Service by the friendly staff was extraordinary: super breakfast with varying choices, dinner at the Liena restaurant is something very special, we highly recommend it. Special thanks to Jorge and Cecilia, who even handwrote a menu translation for us in German.

It was an extremely hot afternoon as we followed the directions we had been sent and parked our car by the church and climbed up to the hotel. We pushed open the door and were immediately entranced. A very old building sympathetically decorated greeted us, as did the delightful owner who brought up a jug of iced water to revive us. The few from our room, and the terrace was impressive.
As it cooled I was able to explore a little, my husband is no longer very mobile, and then we enjoyed drinks on the terrace before dinner This was excellent, limited choice, but all the better for that. Home cooked by our hostess.
Breakfast, too, was very good, and we were able to have a late checkout, once more thanks to our wonderful hostess.
We left with smiles on our faces and special memories of a special place.

Room tip: Pay for the view!

My fiancee and I spent a weekend at this wonderful accommodation. If you are searching for a place to stay that has friendly hosts, is well priced, clean, has great home cooked food and wonderful views you can go no further.
