Good japanese food served well. This place is very popular so book or be prepared to wait. (Pop in for a pre dinner drink at the Ritz across the street) ... There is a great selection of Japanese meals but I always go for the Bento Box. I wasn't disappointed. For me the great test of a Japanese restaurant is it's miso ... and Sakae does not disappoint.

I am a Marrickville local and Sakae is my favourite place for mid-week takeout. The staff are really lovely and efficient and the food always tastes fresh. The quality of the food is consistently good, a good choice when searching for sushi!

I come here often for my Japanese fix. I always get takeaway, and so far their sushi, udon and gyoza are all right up there for me. They are fresh, look great, taste great and you know you will be greeted with a smile.

I like to explore the Asian supermarket a few stores down and find new exciting treats and drinks to compliment the Japanese food while I am waiting.

This is the perfect spot for those nights when you just can't be bothered cooking. It's super-cheap, but clean and friendly and the menu is jam-packed with all the favourites.

What a find. A very friendly place with great food and service. We had fresh oysters, gyoza, nigiri, sushi, croquettes and miso. All were delicious and so fresh. Great value for money.
