Our small group of 4 arrived at 9pm without a reservation and even though the place was fully booked, the "manager" offered to accommodate us as long as we wouldn't stay over an hour and half. we promised to oblige as we were starving but also tired from our oversea trip from Asia to Spain.
From the minute we sat down to the end of the meal, we went from good to great surprises.
The welcoming basket of warm bread, the fresh sardines' appetizer, the salted crust fish and Paella main courses were nothing short of amazing!!!
The whole meal was accompanied by a couple of glasses of wine or beer for each of us and the ultimate good news was the bill that was well short of 50 Euros.

We enjoyed a nice meal here, lots of interesting choices on the menu. The "small fish starter" proved to be a whole plate of lightly battered small fried fish "like French fries". It was delicious.

We had a lovely evening and was made even more special, watching the lunar eclipse.

We chose the wrong wine and when we asked for it to be made into a Sangria. Instead of using our wine they just made us a Sangria with the normal red wine they would normally use. One of the party found it too sweet so they just brought a small bottle (1 glass of Viña Sol) free of charge.

Antonio was especially attentive and all of the waiters were friendly.

The fish starters were very fresh.

We all had paella which was very good.

The location was right on the sea front and the roof opened up so we had an excellent view of the eclipse and the planets.

This was our second visit as we went last year. We will also visit again this holiday.

Good Spanish food and lovely setting. Probably not so easy to find if you're not with locals so ask around. The service was very good so don't be put off by the approach to the place or the name. As a restaurant, it works well - not so sure about the 'club' bit though as it didn't appear to be open when we were there. Our friends said they had had a private function there, which was good fun.
