This used to be one of the nicest places to visit in Eastern Bataan but unfortunately the entrance prices have gone absolutely mad. There is no longer a choice for an acceptable entrance fee and free walk-around. The only option now is a daytour at a staggering 2500 Php per person!! It includes multiple jeepney rides in the park and a 500 Php dining credit which can only be spent at the restaurant. Even then, what they’re offering is very poor for such an amount of money. We were so dissapointed to learn about this cunning and exorbitant price structure and so sad to see this cultural heritage becoming so insanely exclusive.

Booked a Stay for a while package. (A whooping 23k) for 2nyts.
Includes full board meals, deluxe accommodation, pick up from balanga terminal, 45min spa for two, river tour, Travis ride.
Place - huge place with on going construction of old Hispanic/Filipino houses. Some are replicas and other houses were original and transferred to this place to preserve the heritage. One outdoor pool, river within the resort and a nice beach facing west Phil sea. To think they have 5 resto including a bar.

What I like: the river tour at night is really majestic the lights emanating from these huge houses are breathtaking. Tour will showcase the old houses which some is really scary and creepy. The room is great, spacious, separated bathtub and shower.stayed at the beachfront. Crew is very friendly. Everything here is picture perfect. Great for foreign visitors. Not to mention the spa.. such a relaxing massage we had.

What I don't like: one crew named George (gay), one of the frontdesk, he will inform you about the map of the resort is really Mean. He told us that we need to pay for the river cruise. I said it's included in the package and he confidently answered back "No". he never apologized after confirming that it is included. He talk as if he owned the resort.
The food is really expensive here. Small bottled water will cost 60 pesos. So bring water. Streetfood 10 pcs of kikiam will cost 90 pesos. Good thing we bought the package that includes full board meals.

PROS - scenic view, nice storytelling of Kathleen during the heritage tour

CONS - overpriced, unpaved road, chaotic check in/check out, front desk inconvenient for senior citizens which is majority of their guests when we stayed, pricey restaurants, inconvenient mode of transport inside the property (jeepneys), clogged drain inside the room,

We stayed here for a long weekend. One member of my group is SENIOR citizen.

Las Casas is basically a collection of old heritage houses put together in this resort.
Every heritage house has a unique story of its own. You get to feel what it’s like to be in the old times, specially the Spanish era. Relive the drama in your mind as the tour guide explains very interesting stories about the structures.

Special mention to PATRICK (our tour guide) - you rocks with ur stories!!!

There's a jeepney roaming around so that you can go from one place to another since the area is big.

We stayed in an EXECUTIVE Suite in Escolta. Love it!

2 major criticisms - writing these reviews aiming for the management of Las Casas:

The resort is not Senior/or Disabled friendly. All of the houses that is open for viewing has only stairs to go up up to 2nd floor. No lifts or wheelchair access. I understand these are old houses ......... but we are now in the 21st century!
How can the Seniors & Disabled appreciate the grandeur of the house, if they only see the ground floor!

For those who wants to bring Seniors/Disabled member of your family in this resort:
pls consider this review.

2. Breakfast: the buffet is very very average. I don't expect it from a member of a
Conde Nast Johansen group!
Firstly, no cereals! Why only serving filipino food?
If u want to cater for Balikbayans and also foreigners - - - u should serve cereals and also croissants!

Also, the taste of all the breakfast food needs a lot to be desired.

Fruits: When we had breakfast on a Saturday: there is just fresh bananas (hard ones) and
sweetened banana!
On Sunday: we just had tasteless watermelons! Nothing else.

Philippines are noted for tropical fruits. What happened to the fruit corner???

Also, pls check your quality control for fruits. As it has no taste.

On the table where we were seated, there was a lot of food wasted.
It goes to show that it certainly needs a lot of improvements.

Las Casas is a member of a CONDE NAST GROUP - - - - so i expect good quality facilities.
Pls serve decent BREAKFAST!!!

The resort is not cheap ....... so i expect good service & food in return!!!!
