We recently went to the Jellyfish restaurant for an evening meal with friends. It is in a lovely location on the Mapua wharf. We have been there several times before for lunch and have enjoyed sitting outside taking in the beautiful view.
On our most recent visit, the service was again friendly and attentive. I had the market fish of the day, John Dory. When my main arrived, i was disappointed to see just two very small pieces of fish along with some cherry tomatoes and a couple of sliced mushrooms. I don't feel that this is good value for a main priced at around $30. If you want vegetables or potatoes with your main, you must order them for $7.50 a side. Pretty pricey in my opinion. In the past the meals we have had at the Jellyfish have been much better value. The desserts are the standard ones...tiramisu, fondant etc. I decided to try the pear tart. The pastry was thick and the tart was dry and overly sweet. For our next meal out, we will try another local restaurant.
