As a follower of the Paleo lifestyle I was rapt to find a cafe which caters to our requirements. The cabinet foods were temptingly displayed - a virtual feast for the eyes, with a number of options for us to make our selection. I opted for the Pumpkin Fritters with an Eggplant relish with a green side salad. This was a substantial meal with the eggplant chutney giving the dish a massive taste lift. My hubby opted for the mushroom, blue cheese and spinach roulade (not quite paleo) with a roasted parsnip salad. The salad looked so tempting that I snaffled a few mouthfuls - this was dressed in a light curry dressing and was freshened with coriander and mint - is definitely something I will try making at home. We shared a delightful, melt in your mouth raspberry cheese cake (raw whole foods option, dairy free). To finish our meal we had vanilla rooibos tea (African red leaf tea). This was fragrant, with a deep red colour. We enjoyed this immensely so bought some to take home. We also had to go in search of a teapot :).
The cafe itself is out of the way and not something you will find by walking the main shopping area. It is a short 5-10 mins walk or even shorter drive. There is car parking at the rear of the building or if full there is a small park a couple of minutes up the road which offers more parking. It is very popular with those in the know (the locals) and will be a cafe which we will visit again.
