As a follower of the Paleo lifestyle I was rapt to find a cafe which caters to our requirements. The cabinet foods were temptingly displayed - a virtual feast for the eyes, with a number of options for us to make our selection. I opted for the Pumpkin Fritters with an Eggplant relish with a green side salad. This was a substantial meal with the eggplant chutney giving the dish a massive taste lift. My hubby opted for the mushroom, blue cheese and spinach roulade (not quite paleo) with a roasted parsnip salad. The salad looked so tempting that I snaffled a few mouthfuls - this was dressed in a light curry dressing and was freshened with coriander and mint - is definitely something I will try making at home. We shared a delightful, melt in your mouth raspberry cheese cake (raw whole foods option, dairy free). To finish our meal we had vanilla rooibos tea (African red leaf tea). This was fragrant, with a deep red colour. We enjoyed this immensely so bought some to take home. We also had to go in search of a teapot :).

The cafe itself is out of the way and not something you will find by walking the main shopping area. It is a short 5-10 mins walk or even shorter drive. There is car parking at the rear of the building or if full there is a small park a couple of minutes up the road which offers more parking. It is very popular with those in the know (the locals) and will be a cafe which we will visit again.

I have been to Oxford St Cafe several times, and it has always been good, hence we went back today. We both had a meal from the menu. The eggs bennie was very disappointing for the price we paid for it, with a tiny english muffin, a little bit of spinach, 2 eggs and some leg ham. For the french toast you have to pay an extra $4.50 to have bacon, which i think is too much. The bacon was very chewy (probably too long in the oven). The coffees weren't great (which they have been in the past). As we sat down for our lunch, 3 kitchen staff (chefs????) sat down for their lunch. And i understand, staff need to eat as well, however when i worked in hospitality, i had to change out of my uniform before i sat down, and sit somewhere in the corner. The bathroom could definitely do with a good clean. It was just disappointing and its highly unlikely that i will go back.

Underwhelming venue, tricky to find a park and not worth the trouble. Twice I was there, after foot surgery, and twice I was disappointed. I think they are trying too hard to be cool and it doesn't't cut it. Food and staff just ok...there are better places to go..

Came here for a quick lunch on a busy work day. Service was friendly and efficient, food was amazing and full of flavour and fresh. Smoothie was also fresh. Nice outdoor seating area with a nice flowy atmosphere.

We went in to have lunch, to find there is no lunch menu now, and no wine . The tables were in need of a wipe . Pre prepared food was adequate but underwhelming .
Barista dropped a glass which went everywhere. Glass under our table which was not swept up .
