We are locals and have dined at La Capilla on a number of occasions for both lunch and dinner. The food is fantastic and the service is just as good. If you are looking for a great degustation experience, try theirs and you won't be disappointed.

We have been to this quaint resturant on two occasions now, on both we have walked away extremely happy with the decision to try it. The team are friendly and welcoming, the selection of local wines is perfect and the food... well...frankly it's delicious ! And when I learnt about the effort that goes into to making the food... it's no wonder it taste's so good. Can't wait to go back !

Reading other reviews I think we may have had an off day or ordered the wrong meals. My goat cheese tartlett with caramelized onion and quince was an onion tart with a piece of goat cheese on top served with at least one whole lettuce. Nothing else. He had the salmon salad. All 6 small slices of salmon were delish, served with another whole lettuce and 4 bits of asparagus. The service was lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside but it is very rustic. Appreciated the ice bucket for the enjoyable local wine.

Hi there.
Thank you for your review, and I am sorry that you could not enjoy our meal.
As we prepare by ourselves everything, maybe we need to explain a little bit more about our meal. Our potion size is not too small but not immense, we are serving decent size with honest price.
First of all, about our smoked salmon dish. As you know we do everything from scratch, we get fresh whole salmon, fillet, de-bone, and then 2days process to make our beautiful smoked salmon. We are serving around 80g per portion of smoked salmon (if you want, you can check price of smoked salmon at super market and compare quality). We, on purpose, cut thicker slice than what you can get from super market to enjoy the texture of our salmon. (hopefully you could find difference, melting in your mouth), so obviously if slice is thick, (even same weight) looks like small or less. (unfortunately we care more taste and texture than how big be seen).
Dressings what we prepare are all made with EVO oil, Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay vinegar, so hopefully you could taste difference of quality of our dressing.
Our green salad accompanied with many of lunch dishes, not just lettuce but also you can see different kind of micro green, rocket, cress etc, even lettuce is picked by hand (not from mezclum bag that you can get at shop).
About goat cheese tart, we use French goat cheese (around 60g on top), and slowly cooked onion with many flavour and tart base is made with butter by our hand (not pastry that you can get ready to go), because I love flavour of butter when you bite.
If we use half-made ingredients that come from supplier, maybe we can make bigger portion (because it is possible to reduce the cost of chefs who prepare food), but it is going against with our concept "serving all-hand-crafted food with much love".

We believe "food made with heart can make people happy".

Thank you again for your review and if one day you decide to come again, we recommend to order our focaccia sandwich or creamy chowder to make your tummy full.

Buen provecho

I had ‘Homemade potato Gnocchi’, my husband had ‘Tiger prawn risotto’.
They are so beautiful and tasty. The Gnocchi was creamy and rich flavor. The Rissoto was cooked perfectly. We already miss the meal we had last time. we definitely will back there again!!
