La Cecile is a new hotel, open since start of 2018, and is fairly upmarket in Labuan Bajo with aligned pricing.

We stayed for 5 nights, and overal this is the rundown of it:
+ Pool is great for soaking and cooling down
- Pool is an Infinitipool which is not really infinite as it is not regularly refilled while water evaporates
+ Views are really one in a million; best i've ever been at sunset in a hotel
+ Bedrooms are fairly luxurious for this area
- there is only 1 power outlet not filled by a lamp or tv in most rooms
- food is really inconsistent, some of it is great, other things are pretty bad
- things appear to be broken with nobody bothering tot fix them: e.g. most of the parasols are, and they are not being replaced it seems. As such: 4 of the sunbeds had shade, and it is 33 degrees in LB in the shade every day. Another example: a table number which had fallen onto the straw roof was not picked up in the 5 days we were there. Also, all the for-rent scooters were broken down. These things are anecdotal, but do have me concerned about the state of the hotel in e.g. 2 years.
+ Staff is lovely and attentive
+ Free shuttle to the city at fixed times are great, buy you pay 50k irp at non-fixed times (standard Labuan Bajo taxicartel rate)
- The whole hotel may somehow run out of toilet paper for 24 hours, which is absurd considering there are shops open 24/7 not 5 minutes away
- the bathroom has no shower screen, meaning you will flood it all when you shower

All in all, for this price in Indonesia (1mln rupaih per night), the value for money is not great. However, it is still a nice enough hotel for a couple of nights if you know what you are getting.

We spent a couple of nights here as our base of operations at night as we went diving for the day. The view from the bar/restaurant area is even better in real life than the photos suggest. A really nice way to wind down your day with a couple of Bintangs and the sunset. In the morning we were impressed by the included breakfast, there were ample options to choose from and it was tasty.

The staff was really good the entire time we were there. They remembered our names, made sure we were happy and even helped us to secure a restaurant reservation after a mix-up with an online reservation system. The shuttle service was very helpful and flexible, taking us to town with no problems even outside of the regularly scheduled times.

The rooms are decent, in line with the price we paid. The road up to the hotel is pretty rough and unpaved, so it's a bumpy ride in and out. We'd stay here again as we thought it was a good value for the money.

We paid Rp 1,400,000 for a quadruple room with bunk beds. The view from the lobby is really beautiful but bedrooms are far from it. Good thing that hotel brought in water by tanks so there was ok hot and cold shower. The bedroom is dark with no windows.

The hotel offers a free shuttle to Labuan Bajo but it's an open truck with a row of seat in the middle (check the picture), very inappropriate for our family with kids. As we went down the steep road out from the hotel to Labuan Bajo, a trunk with water tank was coming in from the other side. It was a very dangerous situation. The hotel should really do their best to prevent accidents by having someone at the bottom of the road to ensure only one car is using the road at the same time.

A true five star hospitality in a new hotel (about 9 months old)! Everything was super fantastic from the airport pick up by Zia, check in and check out by super friendly Arie and Yon and the always smiling and young crew of Victor, Lioni, Angel and all others at the bar/restaurant!! I really hope to come back soon to this fantastic hotel.
Some information; hotel is literally 5 min drive from airport. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfer and also shuttle to the town center at certain hours throughout the day. They are also flexible in accommodating for outside the regular shuttle times depending on the diver availability. The food is really nice at the restaurant and very reasonable price. And not to forget the beautiful view of the Labuan Bajo bay with amazing sunset. There are live bands on Saturday and Sunday nights. Great, talented local bands and very enjoyable. Good selection of breakfast which is a la carte with fresh juices and nice local coffee.
I had an early morning tour and they kindly packed a breakfast box for me one day.
The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. If I can make couple of suggestions that would be to have one chair in the room by the desk area and also to have the safe instructions available next to it.
There are plenty of choices of restaurants in the town if want to try something different. La Cucina was well worth mentioning.
Overall, a great & enjoyable stay and highly recommended!
