“Time to relax and enjoy the sea”
Reviewed January 20, 2016 for a stay in June 2015

We travelled from Canada and were impressed that the pictures and description matched the reality of the place. The beds were comfortable, heat was great and once we figured out how the hot water in the bath tub worked were delighted. It was wonderful to have wifi to be able to Skype with family at home. Talked to local fisherman and got fresh lobster. Walked the beach, the cliffs and up to the castle. Bus transportation was perfect in that we slowed down. Discovered that a week pass was very reasonable and when one buys groceries and cooks eating in is cheaper than back home.
We rented for a month and hated to leave. Anyone looking for a place to renew their spirit and mind and see small town Scotland won't be disappointed. Recommend the Mason Arms as a treat to eat out - monkfish scampi is the best!!! Thanks Kenny for such a wonderful place to stay.

Liked best: Space to just be and quietness of the village
Liked least: Not understanding the water heat, the oven and electric - because in Canada it is done differently

“Relaxing holiday”
Reviewed July 22, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

For me overall the property was very good in terms of location, layout and facilities offered. It was very clean and tidy on arrival. Only negative would be that my teenage kids were frustrated by the poor WiFi connection at the property.

Hi Sandy, thank you very much for your kind review. As regards to the internet speed, unfortunately there is no fiber optic available in the area at the moment and the speed supplied to the house is slow. It is ok for checking emails and browsing etc, but would not recommend for downloading, streaming or gaming etc.

“A relaxing holiday in a well equipped cottage”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Creel Cottage has been wonderfully modernised and is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Rosehearty is a sleepy village with good amenities (local shops and pub/restaurants). The cottage is very close to the harbour and a beautiful walk west along the coastal footpath. We enjoyed walking and visiting nearby properties of The National Trust of Scotland. A very relaxing holiday.

“Stay here as you will be delighted!”
Reviewed January 28, 2015 for a stay in July 2014

Excellent all round. Beautifully renovated cottage. All mod-cons. Spotlessly clean. Within easy reach of leisure amenities and supermarkets. Historic places of interest and beautiful coastal villages abound. Aberdeen an hour away. Plenty to occupy children too. We stay here regularly since 2013.

“wish it was longer”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

we had a wonderful time at creel cottage, my daughter had a lovely ensuite and I stayed in the three single bedded room with my 4 and 7yr old grandchildren. the yard at the back of house was perfect for the children and we had no worries at all of them getting out on road.
All the facilities were wonderful and it was superb having people on hand to ask any questions. nothing was too much bother for even trivial problems which are n't even worth mentioning. everything you needed was there - and more.
Thank you all very much.

“Would love to stay for longer than a weekend”
Reviewed March 27, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Stayed for a weekend while taking part in a swimming competition in Fraserburgh and it was ideal for 5 of us - two adult females, 2 girls, 11 & 12 and my 17 year old son. Originally planned to have another 2 teenagers and we would still have managed fine with that, as the bedrooms were roomy enough.
The renovation of the old house is fantastic - loved the photos of the before, during and after. A labour of love I expect and you must be so proud of your achievements, Kenny.
Kitchen is a really good size - lots of everything needed for self catering except for a collander - which I can't manage without when dishing up the pasta!
Nice wee living room - comfy settees and the youngsters happy with big TV.
All bedrooms very comfy.
Good central heating - easily controlled to get a comfortable temperature quickly.
Didn't get time to play board games or read books but a nice provision if wanting a quiet evening in.
Rosehearty seems a nice wee place - the girls did like the playpark just a few hundred yards along the road. Handy wee corner shop - still open early Sunday evening when we ran out of mayo.
Fantastic sea - and the road into Fraserburgh would be a good long walk (but there's regular buses too!)
Would be quite happy to stay here again
