Read reviews on trip advisor, so thought we would give it a try since we would be staying in South Lake Tahoe for a week. When we walked in it seemed quaint and the man at the counter was friendly. We were eating an early dinner at about 4:00 p.m., so the restaurant had only 2 other tables of families eating there and they seemed like locals. This looked like a good sign. We chose our beverages out of the refrigerator and ordered our food which would be brought to our table. I ordered the chicken sopes and my husband got the 3 pork taco meal with beans and rice. We each had a Corona with our meal. There were 2 others in our group who also ordered full meals and a soft drink. There was a lot of food. We even had leftovers to take with us. The price was right....4 dinners with 3 drinks for $37 was really a bargain. The only complaint was the food was bland: no spices that we could taste, and no sauce unless you added the Tapitio or Chollula that was on the table. The complementary chips and salsas were okay...the red sauce was good, but the green was bland. I should have poured the red salsa on our food to give it a little spice.
