Owner description: Miniature golf! Spring and Fall hours weekends 11-5 summer 10-10
Reviewed November 11, 2017

There are three courses: Storybook (19 holes), Dinosaurs (19 holes), and Castle (28 holes). None share any holes, and there are fences between the courses. We picked the dinosaur course; took us about an hour. A giant brontosaurus, a pterodactyl, a volcano, and several other cleverly designed holes later and my kids (9 & 5) were sold. This is one of the most unique mini-golf courses I've been to. The volcano was our favorite hole, as we got to walk through it. The 19th "hole" is a machine inside that you just drop the ball into and press a button to see if you get a free game. Pretty good odds here--two of the four of us won free games, and at least one other person won one during the hour we were there! It's not on the sign, but the woman behind the counter said kids 3 & under were free and 4-year-olds are half price. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the place seems a bit run-down and their hours are super limited during off-season. (Closed during the week, open weekends 11-5, weather permitting.) But it was clean and the structures around the holes were safe to walk on as you played. A really fun afternoon!

A few notes: Bathrooms are NOT wheelchair/stroller accessible. There's a fold-down diaper-changing station in the women's bathroom; don't know about the men's. There are vending machines and coin-op kiddie rides inside the main room.

Great way to spend an autumn afternoon. We played the 19 hole course...we are not posting our scores, but it is safe to say Sergio Garcia has nothing to worry about from us. Finished up with some air hockey. Great fun.

It seems rare anymore to find mini-golf that is imaginative or well maintained. This place is a gem. Everything works, is clean, painted, etc. it's a lovely place and a lot of fun. Go there. Do this!

My 11-year-old daughter and I loved this mini golf course and played all three available courses. The courses were surprisingly inventive and challenging-- definitely the best we have ever played! At the end of each course, you drop your ball in a "slot machine" for a chance to win a free game (we won one time). We highly recommend Magic Carpet Golf! Much better than the mini golf place in Heavenly Village.

We took our three kids (8,8,10) here and we completed the Dinosaur course. They all liked it so much they want to do it again before we leave Tahoe. When we arrived at 11am it was busy so the front desk lady was kind enough to have us start in the middle to space us out. It was a perfect course for beginners! A true family place. When our kids are happy, we are happy. Thank you Magic Carpet Golf! We will be back.
