We stayed in the largest property which was very comfortable, and well equipped. The pizza night which brought all the guests together was brilliant and Ruth was an excellent hostess throughout our week.
Great place to visit if you don't want to be totally alone, but enjoy the company of a few families. Kids had a fab time and the location was beautiful. The Bar Piña in Grizzana Morandi was also a great little find.
Thoroughly recommend it

We stayed in the Olimpia villa with another family and two toddlers. It was a perfect week away. The views are spectacular from this villa, it's overlooking the pool with stunning views down the countryside and neighbouring villages. The location is great for catching the train to Bologna or Florence and the hosts are really friendly and do everything to make this a perfect holiday. Would highly recommend it.

A real find! From amazingly friendly and generous hosts to the beautifully fresh mountain breeze, this holiday was perfect! The apartment was clean and had everything you'd need for a family stay. Comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen with lots of essentials provided for a self-catering break. The pool is wonderfully clean and shallow enough for children to never be out of their depth; many a day can be idled away on the sun loungers. Easy train travel to Bologna and Florence. There are three other apartments which means that there are other holiday-makers to while away your holiday with. We stayed a week and felt like a local within minutes of arriving. Stanco is a tiny village and gives an authentic taste of Italy. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! Thank you, Ruth!

Room Tip: We stayed in Petronio which was perfect for two adults and two children.

We stayed here in a converted barn which had been converted to good standard. Good views of the surrounding countryside up on the hillside and there was a nice sun terrace. There's a railway station only 10 mins away that got us to beautiful Bologna & romantic Florence and a regular bus service to a small quaint market town if you fancy leaving the car behind. A lovely tranquil place to stay with champing and helpful hosts.

We stayed at 6Stanco in August '14 as a family of four - our two boys were aged five and four at the time. Firstly, the location is simply stunning, beautiful rolling hills and pretty little villages enroute from the main A1 motorway. The accommodation was very comfortable, modern in appliances but rustic in nature. The swimming pool is stunning with once again fantastic views over the mountains. Our apartment didn't have a private outside area, but there is plenty of shared space whereby we could eat our evening meals enjoying the views. The hamlet is very small, but a nearby village 5 mins in the car has a grocery shop, bar and a couple of good restaurants. We truly relaxed at 6Stanco and would love to return one day. A 20 minute drive away is the train station and it is very easy to get the train to Florence or Bologna for a day trip which we did. Finally, Ruth is a brilliant host and both Ruth and her wider family made us feel incredibly welcome in their beautiful home. Thank you James & Emma Mcmurrough. PS we did move to Sydney in the end!
