“Lalas in the Cove”
Reviewed 5 November 2012

What a little gem of a store in the heart of Deep Cove! Lala's is a unique gift store and so much more. And right now their Christmas display and gift ideas makes it so easy to get a jump on your Christmas shopping. A n easy drive from Vancouver, right on the water. And after your shopping hop across the street for a lovely lunch or early dinner at Arms Reach Bistro. Great food and a lovely view. Lala's has friendly, helpful staff, exceptional gift ideas, cards for all occasions, a terrific kid's gift section, kitchenware, soaps and lotions, jewellery- lots and lots of great ideas for your gift-giving needs. Check it out and enjoy an unexpected Cove just on the other side of the Second Narrow's Bridge!

“A bit of peace”
Reviewed 4 November 2012

Deep Cove is a quiet little gem with a phonemonal view of the water and mountains. There is also wild life that can be spotted there. Deep Cove has a few stores and a pub there. It is a beautiful drive to get to it, not far from Second Narrows Bridge. Enjoy it!

“A beautiful place to relax and enjoy each others company”
Reviewed 30 October 2012

Arrived at Deep Cove as the sun was going down and went for a brief walk along the park area and marina. Could definitely spend more time relaxing here especially when quiet and not packed with people. Also had dinner at Osaka Japanese Restaurant and I highly recommend it. My first Japanese restaurant and a fine experience at that.

“Fjordland beauty best explored by kayak”
Reviewed 27 October 2012

Easily reached by a bus from bus station on Vancouver North Shore, this place is a beautiful gem. Make sure you explore it on a sunny day. The Kayak Centre on the shore which you cannot miss will set you up. They offer kayaks, double kayaks, kanoes and paddle boards, all of which sounded really suspicious and terribly difficult to us as we never tried anything like that before. But the cool guys at the centre have such encouraging Can-do attitude, that we ended up in a double kayak, which is apparently more stable than kanoe, wearing inflatable vest, getting brief instructions about our safety equipment and how to hold a paddle, then being puched off shore and let loose to explore. And what brilliant two hours we had! Kayak was indeed very stable and we got the paddling and steering quickly and then it was just pure enjoyment being in stuningly beautiful place and exploring it from the water, which felt so adventurous and cool! Word of advice - do take a funny looking rubber skirt they offer you which goes round your waist and then tucks in around your seat making you waterproof otherwise you get splashback from your paddle dripping on your knees, which is OK when it's hot.

“A little piece of heaven!!”
Reviewed 24 October 2012

A very lovely little cove, nice beach, walk, beautiful residential area and shops. You feel so removed from the city, but it's only a 20 minute drive to downtown Van. Love it here...
