Mountain Lily B & B provides a beautiful, quiet retreat in the mountains of Canmore. The room is spacious and welcoming, and the hosts, Dave and Mary Jane, are wonderful. You will not regret staying here.

Mountain Lily is a lovely place to stay, both inside and out. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious, nutritious, and so filling that we skipped lunch. And best of all were the wonderful conversations in which host Dave shared his knowledge of the area with great advice for what to see and do. We'd return in a heartbeat!

The room is beautifully furnished and its large bay window offers an excellent view on Canmore and its surrounding mountain range.
The bathroom, which is impeccably clean like the whole house, has a large most inviting shower.
As for breakfast: it would be hard to find a better and richer breakfast than the one served either in the large kitchen or on the terrace at Mountainlily.
What we appreciated most of all was Mary Jane and Dave' s warm-hearted hospitality and the very useful suggestions they made about where to go and what to see.

To conclude our tour of the Rockies, my wife and I were planning to stay a few days somewhere in the Banff area. Tripadvisor reviews of B&Bs were a bit worrying: the B&Bs were either poorly-rated or very pricy. We then looked into nearby locations and focused on options in Canmore, right at the border of the National Park. That proved to be a great idea... We loved what we found!

Mountain Lily B&B is located in a quiet, newly built neighbourhood (with quite fancy houses...), 5-10 minutes away by car from the center of Canmore. The B&B offers one single accommodation - so no worries to have on privacy, you're the only guests. The room itself, located on the first floor, is very spacious and elegantly appointed, with a walk-in closet, a fridge, a wide screen LCD TV, and a beautiful bathroom. It actually feels more like a small apartment, as you have your own entry, with stairs on the side of the house coming up to your door. You then open your curtains in the morning over beautiful mountains, a very peaceful landscape.

Dave & Mary Jane, who run the B&B together, were extremely kind and friendly. We would come down every morning, discover their exquisite breakfast treats (fruit blends, pancakes, waffles, muesli, all of it homemade), and have a chat about the day's plans. Mary Jane, a professional guide, knows the area very well and is a great source of tips on what to see and where to go. We were also given some maps for the trails, some restaurant tips, and some good insider stories. Dave and Mary Jane both tried their very best to make the stay enjoyable.

If you like walking, our favorite trails in the area were:
- Sentinel Path
- Plain of 6 glaciers
- Wilcox path (a bit further north)

Food-wise, Dave and Mary Jane recommended O'Bistro, in the center of Canmore. This was probably the best restaurant we visited during our 3 weeks in the Rockies. We actually went two nights in a row...!

In short, don't hesitate a second, get in touch with Dave & Mary Jane, you will have a great stay with wonderful people!
